Regina Contest

Regina, Saskatchewan is a bit of a trek but skate comps in the winter are few and far between. The Tiki Room is again hosting the longest running indoor contest in Canada, aptly named “Welcome to Winter”. Check out the details below for your chance to win a chunk of $1500 and loads of prizes. Calgary locs tend to do pretty well at this one (Devin Morrison, Ryan Oughton, Beau Larson, and Mitch Kerbz have all taken home cash in the past).

After talking to some folks from the City, it appears the letters that have been sent recently regarding the ramp bylaw and getting more parks are getting through. The higher-ups at the City are starting to take notice and they are beginning to realize that something needs to be done to change skateboarding in Calgary. Keep the letters to the Mayor, Aldermen, and MLAs coming and keep them positive!
