As mentioned in a post here a few days ago, the new SBC Skateboard Magazine has a crazy sequence of Derrick Timoshenko. It’s a kickflip benihana down the China 12 stair. Thanks to Steve Marentette for shooting and sending us the sequence. In case you haven’t seen it, here it is:
Check out the new issue of SBC Skateboard. It’s got a lot of Calgary content, including an “ender” from China 12. Available in skate shops and magazine shops alike.
The cover of the new King Shit magazine was shot in Calgary and features Dustin Henry! The magazine should be in stores in a couple of weeks. Here’s a sneak-peek:
Concrete Skateboarding posted this sequence of Sean MacAlister recently:
Calgary’s own Riley Boland is on the cover of Color Magazine’s latest edition. Thanks to Calgary is Awesome for the heads up.
Check the link for a little write-up by Owen Woytowich.
Here’s the photo gallery, also shot by Owen.

Well most skaters probably appreciate the new paint job Millennium received, the city has proposed a $60,000 clean up of the graffiti.
In our efforts to show the pride that skaters have in our only real skatepark, we are going to offer our support in the clean up.
It is our hope that we can call on Calgary skaters to assist with the repainting of the park and show our respect for Millennium. This will promote a possitive image for Calgary skaters, and hopefully show the City that we are out there, and do care about our skatepark.

If we are able to assist with the clean up, and you are interested in offering your support, please email your name and contact info. to admin@calgaryskateboarding.com
Peace,
